Description:

In this ceramics course, participants learn to work with clay using a variety of techniques to create functional or artistic objects. The course includes hand-building, using molds, and, when possible, an introduction to wheel throwing. Participants will learn essential clay techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab building, and glazing. The course is suitable for both beginners and more experienced makers – working with clay is calming, creative, and rewarding. Finished pieces will be fired and glazed for everyday use.
